About The Show

All of the pieces in this particular series were painted in 2006 and 2007 but the ideas and sketches have been accumulating for many years prior. Every single one of my paintings begins as a little drawing in my sketch book, then gets re-created with colour and finally ends up on the canvas.

My inspiration for my paintings comes from feelings and emotions portrayed in every day life. I take what I'm feeling or what I see happening around me in today's society and I put it on the canvas. When I get mad or upset about things in my life instead of lashing out at the world I express myself on canvas. There is something about emotion that moves me, fuels me. If I'm angry at people I don't take it out on people I lash out at the canvas. I can't keep things bottled up inside me so when I have something to say, it will be in paint.

All of the paintings in this series are oil on canvas and vary in size. I like to paint large images with lots of bright colours, something that is very different and unique that stands out.
